Reassigning:
After 5 hours of reassigning my pankat I'm taking a brake now to remember that I am a musician >:(
I think I'll end up with drilling 8 new holes for the screws - and I would choose metric ones! - to turn the controler 90° to have my lowest note at 3 o'clock position. And I'm looking foreward to play the instrument...

Pan layout:
Wow - I finally succeeded :) It took me 3 weeks to reconfigure my pankat...
This morning I receive an eMail from "someone" at Alternate Mode, - sorry, he didn't sent his name, giving me, amongst other thing, e.g. chip update, the following hint:
Quote
In the meantime, you can create your own configuration using REASSIGMENTS.
In the Global Screens you call up a REASSIGNMENT NUMBER and then you
program what pitch you want in each location.   Then you go to the KIT and
in the KIT AUXILLIARY SCREENS you turn on the REASSIGNMENT (from OFF TO
REPLACE)  When you assign that kit to the REASSIGNMENT number that you
programmed in GLOBALS, it will replace the PITCH CONFIGURATION.
And after working on it for another 3 and a half hour I changed the controler to the layout I'm used to.
Now I can start playing...
