Multiple zones… on one pad?
« on: April 23, 2014, 01:34:59 PM »
Maybe someone can help me with this problem.   I have a KAT 3.8 (The one that looks like a mouse) The sounds that I want to use are from BFD 3.0.  Now when I move my mouse over the snare image one my computer in BFD, the sound changes.  Just like you would on a real set. Click the mouse on the edge of the image, you get a new sample.  Click the mouse in the middle of the drum image and you get a different  sound sample.  Can this be done on my Kat?  I'm not talking about velocity, I would like different  "zones" on the same pad. Hit the pad in the middle.. main sound.. hit the pad off to the side, perhaps a rim shot.  Since I don't think this  can be done.. how could I achieve different sounds of the same drum on the same pad…..  also, does the Kat have any pre made mapping kits that would work with the kits of BFD? the MIDI mapping would help me….  any suggestions…..
