Brian Kendrick drummer, percussionist and educator is in high demand as an ensemble musician, soloist and teacher. He spends his days filled with school schedules, student and private lessons and is an outstanding educator at San Joiquin Delta College, percussionist at CSU Stanislaus, director of Young Sounds of San Joiquin and is on the faculty staff of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Camp and has taught at the Brubeck Institute Summer Colony.
Brian is originally from Texas and is now residing in Stockton California. Kendrick holds his Degree from the Texas Tech University and Syracuse University. He has performed in the United States and Europe in both jazz and orchestral settings. He has played with such legends as Henry Mancini, Sarah Vaughn and Ernie Watts. While in New York he performed with the Syracuse New Music Society, his jazz quartet, Blue Norther and taught drum set and percussion in Syracuse.
He is active in the community playing with a variety of singers and instrumentalists. He is a proud member of such local illustrious bands including, Patrick Langham Quartet, Kendrick/Pivac Quartet, Habanero Quartet, Jazz N Samba Quartet, Bear Valley Music Festival, Sacramento Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble 20/21.
