Carlos Luis Mejia Rodriguez, born on September 1, 1985 in the city of Managua, Nicaragua. Starts marimba classes with 9 years old.
At 12 years old, together with 5 friends (today also featured artists from the national scene) IXMANÁ make up the band, who perform multiple presentations throughout Nicaragua, and even a tour of 20 concerts in Spain in 1998.
Carlos Luis Mejia has been part of various musical projects live and studio recordings, as Tamuga, Bilayolcán, Chekeré, Carlos and Luis Enrique Mejia Godoy, Katia Cardenal, Norma Elena Gadea, Mario Montenegro, Juan Solorzano, staccato, Eduardo Araica, Armed Group, Camerata Bach, Karla Kjaerby; and international as Chichi Peralta, and Julien Lourau Groove Gang.
With some of these projects traveled to countries like Spain, Japan, United States, Sweden, Ecuador, Denmark, Panama, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Honduras, El Salvador, etc.
Currently he is a musician of the bands: Carlos Mejia Godoy and Los Palacagüina, Momotombo, Katia Cardenal, and La Cuneta Son Machin.
Has its own CD of instrumental music with marimba, which interprets subjects of Nicaraguan and Latin American folklore, called Singing Woods, recorded with prominent Nicaraguan musicians, members of the Camerata Bach and Jazz'Ta.
