Eduardo Meneses, a California Native, joined the Santa Barbara Symphony as Principal Percussion in April of 2008. He is an active freelancer, having appeared with the Redlands Symphony, the Golden State Pops Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He teaches privately in the Los Angeles area as a guest clinician for various youth orchestras and schools. Eduardo graduated fro the University of Southern California in 2005, and in 2008 he completed his graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied with world renowned timpanist and percussionist Timothy K. Adams, Jr. In May, he will graduate with a Graduate Certificate from USC where he studies with James Babor (Percussion, Los Angeles Philharmonic) and Joseph Pereira (Principal Timpani, Los Angeles Philharmonic). He recently won an audition for Cirque du Soleil and will hold the Percussion I position in their brand new show Iris, opening July 2011, and residing permanently at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
