The course of Mario Barreiros is undoubtedly very eclectic.
Born in Porto (1961), he studied at the Conservatory of Music in Porto and with Billy Hart, Joe Hunt and Kenny Washington.
Founder of the Mini-Pop, Jafumega, Escola de Jazz do Porto, Sexteto de Mário Barreiros, Kind Steps (feat. Avishai Cohen, Perico Sambeat, Jesus Santandreu, Abe Rabade and Carlos Barretto).
He is currently the drummer of The Gift, Mário Barreiros Quartet and Jafumega guitarist.
In his career with more than 4 decades he has participated in hundreds of concerts in Portugal and a little around the world (recently played in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Berlin, London, Brighton, Groningen, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, S. Paulo, among others).
