Matt Patuto
Primarily a trap drummer Matt studied vibraphone with Dave Samuels
and during the course of those studies bought a MalletKat instrument.
Since that time Matt has formed his own group and has played
the Waldorf Astoria, Fashion Week in NYC, The Women Sports
Magazine awards dinner, the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in New
York and countless private parties.
Matt is author of Drum Set Systems. Recording the CD for the book
he chose to use the MalletKat for all instruments other than the
drums. Matt holds a B.A. in Percussion Performance from Rutgers
University and an M.A. in Music Education from New Jersey City
University. He is an active drummer and MalletKat player in New
Jersey and the tri state area. Matt teaches privately in his studio or
the student’s home. He is a Kat Expert who is always willing to share
the wealth and inspire newcomers to the field.
