NGWAKO MANAMELA.

An experienced musician with ability to liaise with people from all backgrounds, remain

calm under pressure and problem solving, reliable, easy going and look forward with job

satisfaction in order of completing his given task successfully.

 

He recorded with icons like Mariam Makeba, Don Laka, Moses Khumalo, Zim Ngcawane,

Hugh Masekela, Julian Bahula, Vusi Mahlasela, Khaya Mahlangu and Banjo Mosele

from Botswana and other musicians. He also recorded his own album signed under

Hugh Masekela’s Chissa records recording company. He has released an album entitled

Ramelodi which it was nominated for the Sama awards in 2008. His performance

experience includes touring overseas and African countries. He performed with Jazz artist

like Zimqawane, Moses Taiwa Molelekwa, Kiepie Moeketsi, Hotep Galeta, Ernest Mothle,

Moses Mogale, Bheki Mseleku, Banny Rachabane, Gabriel Tobejane Concord Nkabinde,

Khaya Mahlangu and other top African musicians and international musicians.

 

He also performed and entertained people at Sun International casino’s, Morula Sun

casino, Sun City and The Carousel Casino and Meropa Casino, Emperors’ Palace Casino

and also played at Sheraton Hotel. He is also in invited at Graham’s town Arts Festival

performing with Selaelo Selota in 2011 and he also performs for government functions.

 

At the age of 28 he mastered the vibraphone; after he had to sit and play along his favorite

artist s he listened to their recordings. Now at his age he is more on demand because of

skill, experience and creativity. This is proven after a recent show at South African State

Theatre with Paul Hamner and tickets were sold out. After the show he sold the tax of his

cd’s.

 

As the only vibraphone, marimba icon in the country his aim is to improve and teach

young musicians and children to play this instruments in South Africa and the whole

wide word. Currently he teaches at Sunnyside primary School , Jopie Fourie Primary and

Motheo Pre school and his own school at Soshanguve named Bokamoso School of Creative

Arts. He works for Miagi (Music is a great investment). Check internet for History and
