Ryoko Oka

Ryoko Oka - Alternate Mode Artist


Ryoko graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston as a scholar, and Musashino College of Music in Tokyo.
She is a member of Hawaii's best exotica band, Don Tiki that won the Hawaii Music Award and twice nominated Na Hoku Hanohano award . She has performed at many concerts with Don Tiki including the music festival in Berlin, Las Vegas, The Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA, the home of Los Angeles Philharmonic and Benaroya Hall in Seattle, the home of Seattle Symphony and with The Honolulu Symphony. 
She played Trung (Vietnamese bamboo Xylophone) for the 4th CD of Don Tiki "South of the Boudoir" that won Hawaii Music Award and was nominated Na Hoku Award. 
She has also performed with Grammy awarded and nominated artists, Bryan Kessler, Hookena, Raiatea Helm and Jeff Peterson and performed at a concert featuring Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter in Hawaii. 
She also played keyboard for Grammy nominated singer, Raiatea Helm's DVD "Raiatea Live" that was awarded the Best DVD Of The Year in Hawaii, and is sold all over the world.
