I've been using the drumkat since it's inception in 1988 and I've used it for a lot more than a simple drum triggering device. I've used it as a compositional aid for writing everything from string quartets to pieces for symphony orchestra, as well as New Age and pop music of all kinds as well. I've used just about every feature in my original drumkat including even some of the more esoteric features like slice mode and alternate mode.

Also I can demo it in a professional studio environment.

I am a MalletKAT user in Chicago. I've played the MalletKAT since 1993 and have become pretty adept at figuring out new ways to use it for live performances.

I use the MalletKAT during live musical theatre (when things have GOT to work everytime) and have found its reliability to be absolutely bullletproof.
