Using Roland KD-8 With Trapkat XL
« on: October 02, 2017, 12:35:37 PM »
Hello Friends,

I purchased a Trapkat XL (again ;) recently and can't seem to get good triggering with three different triggers I have tried. I borrowed a KD-120 from a friend and it barely triggered (figured it was the foam cone) then i tried an acoustic trigger, that I really had to whack to get a sound (figured it was just a cheap trigger so...). Now I have purchaseda KD-8 that looks to be in mint condition and I really have to lay into it just to train it and I have the bass set to "MAX" per the manual. Are there any other setting I should try? I hope it isn't the input for the kick... I can't really train it properly either because it seems I really have to kick pretty hard just to register "lightly"... Any help would be great. I also would like to know what my settings should be for even kick triggering across the spectrum. IE. keeping a strong kick response with various kick pressures. Thanks -Nate
