This year, Young Chang, the maker of the Kurzweil sound card, unexpectedly decided to stop manufacturing the sound card for Alternate Mode. We still have some left, but will soon no longer have the KS available as we want to keep a supply of repair boards available.

Changes like this sometimes creates new exciting possibilities. We are now working with IK Multimedia, and will have our own SAMPLETANK software that will be displayed at the PASIC Show this November.

We also planning on having our own sound module (more to come soon) that will be designed specifically for the percussionist. This is the module we have all been waiting for, and has been in the works for sometime now. We will be displaying this module at the NAMM show this coming January.

In the meantime, the Ketron SD-1000 is an great sounding module that is offered at a really good price. The malletKAT’s now have built in User Kits for the Ketron.
